Putinosis: misunderstood and persecuted.

Putinosis is an incurable condition which afflicts so-called strong leaders. Early signs of the disease are seen in well heeled so-called populist politicians on the continent, in Britain and in America. Case histories going back centuries suggest that it takes decades to run its course in the victim. From kakocracies to theocracies, no country or continent is immune to this highly contagious affliction.

Putinosis lies dormant, then thrives during economic downturns. Putinosis renders victims thinskinned and they typically seek consolation in amassing great wealth and courting the support of a coterie of wary but sympathetic billionaires who exploit the victim to their own ends. They are never wrong. It is always someone else’s fault.

A hubristic reaction to a thwarted sense of entitlement often leads to persecution of other minorities and ultimately to war.

Dissent can be fatal and after what happened to some Russian billionaires, their American counterparts search frenetically for a bolt hole in outer space lest their strong man turn against them one day.
