Ade, The Flying Paintbrush
Ade, alias the Flying Paintbrush, Julius, Cufffingers, Marcus, is a champion hurdler but a fugitive for a crime he did not commit. Coerced into marrying the manipulative Yeni, scion of the powerful Martins family, he is in love with the down to earth Moji and is desperate to escape his marriage before Yeni has a child. But Controller, a venal police officer, knows Ade’s secret and is also blackmailing him.
Could the mangled version of Ade’s oriki, his family praise song, recited to him by his grandmother, Iya, hold the key to his freedom? Or is he condemned to a live of misery?
